Types of Trekking

Types of trekking

Nepal offers numerous possibilities. In Nepal, treks are organized to suit your needs. But basically there are two types of trekking in Nepal.

Tea house/Lodge trekking

A tea house trek in Nepal means staying in local lodges or hotels. Teahouses are along the route and offer you a comfortable bed and meals. This is the most popular way to trek. All prices include a well-trained guide and porter for carrying your personal belongings. Camping equipment is not needed. Tea houses provide the essentials for you. With tea houses your trek feels trouble free. Relax at the end of a long day in the common rool with some hot tea and enjoy the view.  Royal Nepal Group provides you with the highest quality accommodation. We have been coming to the regions for a long time and have well-established relationships with the tea house owners. Trekking areas in Nepal where these facilities are available are in Everest region, Annapurna region, Langtang region, Manaslu region and nowadays it has been developing in more over all regions or routes of Nepal. Locals are mainly benefited by tea house trek as they can sell their products. Trekkers get the opportunity to engage with locals and learn more about local culture and customs.

Camp Trekking

Tented or camping treks are the classic and earlier style of trekking in Nepal. Camp trekking is available all over the nation provided that the Government allows camping in the region. The price includes accommodation, meals and human resources. Accommodation and all the meals are provided inside the tented camp. Royal Nepal Group is responsible for the arrangements of camp except losses, natural disaster and emergency evacuation. Royal Nepal Group provides all the qualitative trekking and camping equipments, service, security and comfort during your trek. A licensed and well trained guide, porters, and chef for cooking food are also included. Royal Nepal Group chooses spots that are well established to avoid damaging the nearby environment. In Nepal camp trekking is expensive. You experience more pleasure and adventures than tea house treks. Camp treks primarily operate in Upper Mustang, Upper Dolpo, Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Ganesh Himal and other unbeaten paths of Nepal.
