Annapurna Base Camp 10 Day

Annapurna Base Camp 10 Day Trek is an amazing opportunity for those who want to complete this amazing trek without going too slow or rushing it. We have an Annapurna Base Camp 7 day package and an Annapurna Base Camp 14 day package, so this is the happy medium. It takes just 10 days roundtrip from Kathmandu. Our itinerary is designed to take you to the heart of Annapurna Sanctuary providing fabulous views of the mountains of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Range. 

The route this trek takes is the shortest possible one to let you explore everything in the fastest possible way. The landscapes you get to view during these 10 days are amazing, as you get panoramic views of peaks like Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Himchuli, Manaslu, and Machhapuchhre while walking past beautiful rhododendron, bamboo, and oak forests with a few settlements in between. 

One of the memorable spots during this trek is a hot spring known as Jhinu where you can dive and relieve your fatigue. The steaming waters feel especially good on your sore muscles. Annapurna region is also home to different species of birds and animals and is covered in an alpine forest. Reaching Annapurna Base Camp is a wonderful experience to have and the trail will never cease to amaze you.

Itineraries

First Day

Day 1:Arrival at Kathmandu

• Accommodation: 3-Star Hotel
• Altitude: 1345 m
You will arrive at Kathmandu airport and will be transferred to a hotel there. You will stay in this hotel during your days in Kathmandu. There you can freshen up and rest or go out shopping, try new food, get a massage, etc. Tour briefing and necessary permits will be given to you by Sublime Trails.

Second Day

Day 2:Arrival at Lake City, Pokhara

• Accommodation: 3-Star Hotel
• Altitude: 820 m
Today you will go to Pokhara. It is a 6-7 hours ride from Kathmandu during which you can enjoy the amazing landscapes. Upon reaching Pokhara, the city famous for the outstanding beauty of its lakes. You will check into a hotel and rest for a while. Begnas Lake, Phewa Lake, Mahendra Cave, Bat Cave, Taal Barahi Temple, Sarangkot are some of the many places you can visit here. You can also find different bars, spas, hotels where you can chill in the evening.

Third Day

Day 3:Drive from Pokhara to Kyumi and trek to Chhomrong

• Accommodation: Tea House
• Trek Hours: 3-4 hours
• Altitude: 2170 m
After waking up in Pokhara and having breakfast, you will again ride to Kyumi. Then you start your trekking by walking an almost flat terrain for a few hours. Then you will reach Jhinu Hot spring and ascend for about an hour. You will reach Chomrong town and explore the culture and tradition of ethnic Gurung tribe living there. It is a gateway to the shrine of Annapurna. You can see various types of birds and animals along the way.

Fourth Day

Day 4:Chhomrong to Himalaya

• Accommodation: Tea House
• Trek Hours: 5-6 hours
• Altitude: 2920 m
Leaving Chhomrong, you will get amazing views of Macchapucchre and Annapurna South and Himchuli. You will descend through 2500 stone stairs, during which you will cross Sinuwa village after crossing Chhomrong Khola. First, you will ascend the for a while and then walk a steep descent to Bamboo. In about an hour, you will reach Dovan. You will cross enchanting rhododendron and oak forest to reach Himalaya.

Fifth Day

Day 5:Himalaya to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700 m) to Annapurna Base Camp

• Accommodation: Tea House
• Trek Hours: 7-8 hours
• Altitude: 4130 m
Today you will head towards Annapurna Base Camp after getting to Machhapuchhre Base Camp. It is almost 4-5 hours of the uphill walk until reaching Machhapuchhre Base Camp. You will get outstanding views of mountains like Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, Himchuli, Gandharva Chuli, Annapurna III, Gangapurna, etc. from there. Continuing your trek for another two hours, you will reach Annapurna Base Camp and spend your night there.

Sixth Day

Day 6:Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo

• Accommodation: Tea House
• Trek Hours: 6-7 hours
• Altitude: 2310 m
Enjoy the view of Annapurna I, Barahi Shikhar, Tent Peak, Annapurna South, Himchuli, Gandharva Chuli. Returning the same route, you will first get to Bamboo then to Deurali to Himalaya to Dovan and finally reach Bamboo. It is a downhill trek and takes about 6 hours of descent. You will stay at a tea house there.

Seventh Day

Day 7:Trek to Jhinu Danda from Bamboo

• Accommodation: Tea House
• Trek Hours: 5-6 hours
• Altitude: 1780 m
Returning, we will ascend the hill to reach Kuldi Ghar and descend to reach Chhomrong Khola. You can climb through stone-paved stairs for almost an hour to reach Chhomrong and descend down to get to the Jhinu hot spring of Modi Khola. You can dive into the hot spring and relieve your stress. You will sleep at a tea house in Jhinu Danda after having dinner.

Eighth Day

Day 8:Trek from Jhinu to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara

• Accommodation: Tea House
• Trek Hours: 5-6 hours
• Altitude: 820 m
After waking up in Jhinu, you will start trek and head towards Pokhara through Siwai. You will walk for about 4 hours and trek towards Nayapul. Along the way, you get to see many waterfalls and western mountain ranges. It is quite a scene to observe. Reaching Nayapul, you will board a private bus with your guide and group to reach Pokhara.

Ninth Day

Day 9:Drive or fly back to Kathmandu

• Accommodation: 3-Star Hotel
• Altitude: 1345 m
Returning to Kathmandu, you will have lots of things you can do. Since this is the last day you will spend in Nepal, you can buy souvenirs for your friends and family. You can also buy fancy handicrafts, pashmina, special teas, statues, decoratives, etc. If you have enough time you can stroll around or visit cultural and religious places in Kathmandu. You can go to spas and get a massage and you can go to bars and enjoy live music. In the evening, Sublime Trails will organize a farewell dinner for you where you can enjoy cultural food and watch cultural dance performed by local dancers.

Tenth Day

Day 10:Farewell

Our representative will drop you to Tribhuvan International Airport and you will fly back to your homeland or to your next destination. If you plan to extend your holidays and want to take part in other fun activities or trek to other regions of Nepal, we will be happy to help you.

To make this trek shorter than regular Annapurna Base Camp trek, this itinerary doesn’t include Ghorepani, Poon Hill or Ghandruk villages. However, if you can extend your trip and make it 2-3 days longer, you can include a trek to those villages.
