‘adventure into hidden pockets of Nepal Far North Mid-West Himalaya’

Ganesh Himal Ruby Valley Trekking, located Nepal Far North Mid-West Himalaya, in between Langtang Himal range in the east with Manaslu and Annapurna Himalaya towards west direction.

The higher region of Ganesh Himal is less visited and explored by the main flow of trekkers and adventurers, some areas of massive Ganesh Himal famous for crude and raw semi and precious stones like the Ruby found around near Ganesh Himal.

Hence the name is also tagged and known as Ruby Valley, certainly a most scenic country and the charm and beauty of Ganesh Himal is that only very few group of trekkers seldom visits, that makes this adventure special.

Like other main popular trek Annapurna, Langtang and Everest, Ganesh Himal Ruby Valley Trek is almost unknown to most trekkers, due to its remote location and much isolated from main villages and human habitation.

Due to complete isolation and Mountain wilderness where trekkers need to carry camping equipment and other provisions like foods, different units of kitchen with cook and helpers, along with guide and porters to ferry camping gear and your baggage.

Ganesh Himal Ruby Valley Trekking begins with an exciting overland journey to reach the Central part of the country at Gorkha district, around low sub-tropical River valley within farm villages at Arughat.

Adventure heads east on crossing over Buri-Gandaki River and further, the walk is more of an exploration rather than normal trekking, as route leads to unknown countries where few visitors seldom venture.

Walk leads through many scattered farm villages where one can witness the local culture of hill tribes, mainly populated by Tamang and some Gurung and Magar people of both Buddhism and Hindu religions.

Enjoying time around rural villages and then slowly walk enters into a lovely scenic Ruby valley with magnificent views of towering Ganesh and Manaslu Himal range with Annapurna and Langtang Himal towards far west and east horizon.

Trek heads into a beautiful dense forest of tall rhododendron, magnolia, oaks, pines and fir trees with some bamboo thickets, which makes excellent habitation for wild animals such as elusive and endangered Red Panda, snow leopard, Himalayan black bear, and mountain antelopes.

As adventure progress with a steep climb on top the highest point of the trek reaching at Sing-La Pass rises above 4, 050 m, and 13,288 feet high, offers a glorious panorama of Central and Western Himalayan peaks with close views of Ganesh Himal.

On completing our major highlights in perfect wilderness and solitude, and relive the days with overnights in nice camping sites facing views of wonderful scenery in the harmony of lovely forest surroundings.

Adventure gradually comes to an end on reaching back into farmland and hill villages with a final halt at Trisuli Bazaar, a headquarter town of Nuwakott, located North West of Kathmandu valley and nearest district from the capital.

At Trisuli Bazaar taking a short drive of few hours to reach into hustle and bustle city life of Kathmandu, and then conclude our marvelous adventure of memorable experience on Ganesh Himal Ruby Valley Trekking

Best Season for Ganesh Himal and Ruby Valley Trekking:

Nearly all months of the year except the monsoon wet and rainy times from mid- June to early September, including middle December to February months of winter season.

The very best time for this marvelous adventure in spring season from March to May, when days are clear most of the month’s chances of light rain and snow sometimes in the late afternoon. Cold in the morning and night time, but very scenic with wild-flowers in seasonal bloom especially tall trees to bush rhododendron, magnolia, and other bright flowers.

Day is clear for grand views of snow peaks and with much longer sunlight hours during the spring season, next best season is autumn/fall to pre-winter from the middle month of September to early December.

Although much colder morning and evening time, with short sunlight hours due to autumn and near winter, but most days are bright and clear for mountain views and walks with the bright starry night sky. Chances of snow on higher areas sometimes.
