Best season for Langtang Valley Gosaikunda Trekking Circuit

The spring and autumn season are the best time for the Langtang Gosainkunda Trek in terms of weather and convenience.  This trek is doable all year round but it has certain amount if advantages and disadvantages as well. With the onset of Monsoon/Summer this trek offers incredible mountain scenes, but trails are slippery, and often time’s landslide blocks the trekking path.

If you try and attempt this trek during the monsoon, you’d get to witness green beautiful valleys amidst foggy environment. In this season you will find less number of trekkers on this trek route. Otherwise, you get the most spectacular mountain views in the winter, but the chilly crisp air and freezing temperature might be dicey. Despite all these hindrances if these things do not stop you then you can very well be on this trekking journey.

However, spring and falls are the most favorable season for all trekking regions of Nepal. During this season the valley shimmers with green and a shade of pink and scarlet throughout. Wherever you tread on an array of red raging rhododendrons and other flowers make this trekking path scenic. Similarly the days are also sunny, and heat is abundant, and the evenings are quite chilly. Above all you there is every chance of you falling in love with the blessed charm of the langtang valley gosaikunda region. So this eventually means that every season is tailor made for being on this particular trekking journey.

Travel and Medical Insurance

Travel and Medical insurance is mandatory for all customers looking to travel in Nepal with us. The Travel Insurance must cover both the medical and emergency evacuation cost.

Traveling to the wonderful bounties of the Himalayan region of Nepal comes with both seen and unforeseen risks. It is always best to prepare for any unforeseen risks that may occur while traveling. Many insurance companies offer travel insurance services over the internet. You can choose from a wide variety of insurance companies at your convenience. There might be a slender chance of getting minor health issues, injuries, and, most importantly-altitude sickness.

It is always advisable to choose an insurance policy covering the helicopter rescue cost from the mountains in case of significant accidents and acute mountain sickness (AMS). During such extreme cases of an emergency evacuation, a helicopter service is the only way out of the mountains. This includes a rescue team for both – ground evacuation and rescue. This is why we require your travel insurance to cover the cost of helicopter services and evacuation from the Himalayas.

Before you plan your trip with us, do make sure that your travel insurance covers all the costs mentioned above from a reliable company.

Washing and Toilet Facilities

Primarily during the Langtang Valley Gosaikunda trekking the washing and toilet facilities are quite basic. At the lower elevation, most lodges offer western style toilets. As you move higher on the trail you’ll find squat toilet facilities. Showers do not always have hot water and most tea houses charge for the use of hot water.
