The Annapurna Skyline Trek provides with standard Itinerary days where some days walks can be shorter or longer as per your physical fitness, some designated overnight stops can change, due to available rooms and other facilities and etc…….
 
We will follow the itinerary if its need to be changes in case of weather, landslides and difficulties on walks requiring more days where our leader and lead head guides decides holding full authority for Trekking Planner Nepal
 

Important to know:

While on trekking where all trekkers requires adequate warm gear as per the season wide including sleeping bags to carry, not forgetting water proofs against sudden rain or snow.
 
Walk leads to high steep uphill for few hours, otherwise a pleasant walks with fabulous views of peaks.
 
Accommodation, where some people might require single room supplement which is will be at extra cost and around villages with nice lodge where available.
 
All lodge with facilities of nice and cozy rooms with large warm dining hall serving excellent Nepalese-Indian, Chinese to continental food menus, with attached or common bath and toilets.
 
Electric supply to charge your gadgets either from hydro local power or solar power at extra charge per item includes charge for hot / cold showers also.
 
The trek in protection of ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area Projects) where all trekkers requires ACAP permits as per your duration of treks. One trek solo or in group but best with guides to accompany you and to acquire useful information of the country.
 
Drinking water safe to drink boiled and filtered, one can refill at every lodge on route, buying bottled water available but it only creates more rubbish and pollution as one can re-cycle the same bottle throughout the treks.
 
For Jungle Safari in Chitwan all meals, accommodation with wild-life activities included on the package cost, where one needs dark, dull colored dress to blend with jungle surroundings.
 
Hats, long sleeve shirts and long pants preferred for elephant safari and on jungle/ nature walks good to carry your own binoculars and bird books of Nepal or Himalaya region.

Itineraries

Day 1

Arrive Kathmandu and transfer to hotel, (1350m/4430ft)/Group meeting

On reaching Kathmandu at Nepal’s International airport received by Trekking Planner guide and staff for short transfer into the heart Kathmandu city at Thamel, located within most interesting area of the city within easy reach to all your needs, where most of good standard hotels situated within Thamel area.

After checking into your hotel with time for refreshing break then join at the hotel lobby for briefing regarding the treks to Poon Hill around Annapurna Himalaya region.

Included accommodation on BB in Kathmandu (Hotel moonlight/Kathmandu Guest House/Apsara Boutique hotel)and standard meals (welcome Dinner)

Day 2

Fly to Pokhara 860 m and drive to Nayapul 1,010 m trek to Tirkhedhunga 1,577 m -06 hrs with 30 mins flight, 2 hr drive and 4 hrs walks

To make the program short and to cover the treks within 3-4 days, where scenic flight takes you to land at beautiful city in Pokhara, a magnificent country surrounded by green hills and valley with Annapurna Himalaya towards north that reflects on its calm Phewa and Begnas Lakes.

On reaching at Pokhara airport after 30 minutes of scenic flight with panorama of high snow capped mountains, where exciting drive takes you further west to start the walk.

On reaching at Nayapul a small town and beyond following Modi River towards lovely village of Bhirethati, from here onwards walk starts with slow uphill climb of few hours, heading past farm villages and terraced fields to reach at Tirkhedhunga for overnight stop with time to enjoy views of beautiful waterfalls at Tirkhedhunga.

Day 3

Trek to Ghorepani 2,840 m - 05 hrs.

Morning begins heading for a big climb on nice stone steps to reach Ulleri a large and typical mountain farm village, where villagers are mostly Gurung and Magar tribes, where you can catch views of Machhapuchare Himal with Annapurna South and Huin-Chuli peaks.

From the top of Ulleri village walk leads on gradual and winding path with slow ups to reach Ghorepani, walk takes you around lovely cool forest of rhododendron and pine trees.

After pleasant walk within nice woodland then reaching Ghorepani facing grand views of Dhaulagiri range with Annapurna peaks, Ghorepani with cool temperatures located within forest of rhododendron and magnolia trees, at Ghorepani in the comfort of nice lodge facing views of mountains.

Ghorepani village inhabited by Poon Magar an ethnic hill tribe of Western Nepal famous as Gorkha in UK-India army as gallant soldiers.

This village with many good lodges offers marvelous views of Dhaulagiri-Tukuche-Nilgiri’s and Annapurna Himalayan mountains.

Day 4

Hike to Poon Hill 3,210 m trek to Ghandruk village 1,940 m - 07 hrs.

Early morning start an hour hike up to the top at Poon Hill located above 3,210 m the highest point of the adventure, where one catch breathtaking views of sunrise over wide range of mountains that includes Dhaulagiri-Tukuche-Nilgiri’s-Annapurna Fang (Vara Shikar) with whole of Annapurna range includes majestic Machhapuchare Himal 'Fish Tail' the one and only unclimbed a virgin peaks of Himalaya.

Panorama of mountain includes views of Mt. Manaslu with Lamjung extends to Ganesh Himal towards far east horizon, after an exciting and scenic moment then head back to Ghorepani for breakfast and continue walk uphill through nice forest covered within rhododendron trees includes fantastic views of mountains.

Finally walk leads to descend and then up at Tadapani situated in the midst of forest offers great views of Annapurna Himalaya.

After a pleasant short stop walk on pleasant trail into cool woodland with downhill to reach at large Gurung village of Ghandruk for overnight stop.

Ghandruk one of the major and large village of Annapurna region inhabited by Gurung people the hill tribe of Annapurna Himalaya, like Poon Magar Gurung are also famous as Gorkha soldiers in foreign land of UK and India.

Day 5

Trek to road head and drive to Pokhara with afternoon flight back to Kathmandu. F

From Ghandruk short and last walk of the adventure where morning leads to downhill into farm village of Kimche, the ending our treks for few hour drive to reach back at Pokhara airport.

Taking the late afternoon flight from Pokhara to reach on time at Kathmandu where short scenic flight offers fabulous mountain views all the way till it lands at Kathmandu airport, and then transfer back to your respective hotels after a most magnificent time and adventure on Poon Hill and Annapurna Panorama Trekking.

Day 6

Final Departure

Today after breakfast we transfer you to the international airport in Kathmandu for your next destination.

The trek is for 3 overnight stops and 4 days walks with short drive both ways to start the trek. As well at the end of trekking.

Starting the trek on easy gradual up, second day to Ghorepani is all uphill climb, but taking a slow stride and rest in between will overcome the tough climb.

As altitude wise is very safe, with some steep section of few hours but can be done taking your own easy pace. After Ghorepani and Poon Hill most of the way is downhill.

A distance of 2 days walks approx. 65 km with drive of 2 hours covering 40 km.

Taking a drive of more than 6 hours to Pokhara, and then taking a few hour drive to trekking point. Where walk leads to overnight stop at Tirkhedhunga village or at Ulleri and then reach Ghorepani. Next morning an hour hike to Poon Hill, can reach in 3 days from Kathmandu to Poon Hill via Pokhara.

No way, Everest is located Far North East Nepal, whereas Pokhara and Poon Hill around Annapurna Himalayas. Located Nepal Mid-West.

Can be done, it is a well-defined and straightforward trekking route.

Spring time of March to May, and autumn season’s starts from September to November month.

Both region has its own charm and beauty, it depends on ones choices to be in the high Buddhist country. Mainly populated by the Sherpa of Everest, where one needs to fly in and out on Everest trek.

As for Annapurna Himalaya region with various choices taking a drive or flight to Pokhara city. Annapurna Himalaya is vast mountain range, where one can trek from few days to a week or more.
