Best Season for Hot Spring Trekking Around Annapurna Himalayas:

 
The best season is in spring, which starts from March to May as well as autumn to pre-winter seasons from September to November till December. 
 
Spring season, morning till mid-day is mostly clear for pleasant walks as well for the views, can get cloudy in the late afternoon. Cold in the morning and late afternoon till night time and chances of snowfall sometimes. 
 
During spring the hills are lively with wildflowers in full bloom, especially the rhododendron of various species from tall trees to a bush. 
 Rhododendron is also the national flower of Nepal. 
 
Autumn and pre-winter are the best time for excellent views and scenic walks, where days are crystal clear. But shorter days due to sunlight hours, one can expect snowfall sometimes, with much cold morning and nighttime besides the wind-chill factor.

Nepal has four major seasons, namely, (1) spring (2) summer: June to August, (3) autumn/fall: September-November, and (4) winter: December-February.
 
Nepal can be visited the whole year, for tours and short hikes, but not for high-altitude treks. Unless interested in exotic flora and fauna, will be a paradise for botanists and naturalists.

Itinerary Disclaimer:

Hot Spring trekking provided with a standard Itinerary days where some days walks can be shorter or longer as per your physical fitness, some designated overnight stops can change, due to available rooms and other facilities and etc…….
 
We will follow the itinerary if its need to be changes in case of weather, landslides and difficulties on walks requiring more days where our leader and lead head guides decides holding full authority for Royal Nepal Group.
 

Climate and Weather Around Annapurna Himalayas :

Himalayan climate can be unpredictable sometimes even in good best seasons, where April and May to first week of June will be the best time during spring times, when days are longer with enough sunlight hours.
 
Morning and night time as well in shade can be cold around higher areas above 2,000 m.
 
Other months from September to December another great times for treks around Annapurna region and other areas of Himalaya. Most days are clear for views and to summit the top of the peak, although much colder months of autumn season with extreme cold during morning and night time, where sunlight is much shorter.

Provides excellent meals as per your choice from wide listed menu of the lodge serving from famous Nepalese Dal-Bhat to Continental with some Chinese, Tibetans and Indian foods. Drinking Water:

On local lodge and hotels in Pokhara provides safe boiled and filtered drinking water throughout the trek and at wildlife safari.
 

Altitude Sickness:

On this trek no big problem of catching AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) or high altitude symptoms, as walk takes you to slow gain in elevation and gradual rise in altitude gains, and then on downhill most of way back to end the trek at Pokhara at the height of 820 m high.
 
Around Nepal Himalaya the quickest emergency evacuation by means of Helicopter services to bring the victims back to Kathmandu and for further treatments if required.
 
For emergency evacuation where trekkers should be well insured with good Insurance policy that covers all medical side and the use of Helicopter or other means of transportation.
 

Travel and Medical Insurance:

Where all travelers to Nepal Himalaya require Travel and Medical Insurance to cover against unfortunate accidents and sickness covering Helicopter Service Rescue to safe places and nearest hospitals.
 

Age Requirements:

For this short moderate trekking, people from 18 to 70 years including children from below 5 years old will be allowed and this involves if one can get medical insurance from your home countries. As for family with children where age group from 5 onwards are safe for this trek. For smaller infants back carrier is required, as well extra guide will accompany and support throughout the trekking.
 

Photography:

Photography can be taken all around Nepal, where some public and private areas of Government, religious monuments and some old people might not allow photographs, where your guide will advise you on restricted places.
 

Gratuities:

Tipping after getting satisfied with the service rendered by helpful staff of the hotels, drivers including guides and porters where you feel like it deserves gratitude like tipping.
 
Tipping is highly expected by crew members of trekking and climbing expeditions as traditions since tourism started in Nepal and other Himalayan countries.
 

Laundry on trekking:

As for smaller items can be done in the afternoon time on reaching the overnight stop, but normally you won’t have time to dry or do the laundry, except back at Pokhara.
 

Lodge accommodation and toilets on treks:

The lodge are simple and basic on treks some with attached bath and toilets, but nice, clean and cosy rooms. Other smaller villages have lodges with common bath and toilets, but one can have hot shower at extra cost. Most toilets have squatting types around the lodges on treks, few places with sitting toilet seats.
 

On treks electricity facilities to charge our electronic gadgets? 

Most villages on route trek do have hydro power electricity, where one can charge your gadgets, at extra cost per items per hour. Some smaller villages will have their own private solar power.
 

Safe drinking waters on Hot Spring Trekking Around Annapurna Himalayas?

All drinking are safe to drink provided it is boiled and filtered, where our guide will check and make it sure if it’s safe or not. We strongly discourage buying plastic mineral water, unless one is very desperate. Due to Responsible Tourism and Eco Trekking we do not encourage buying plastic bottled water, unless it can be re-cycled.

Itineraries

Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu 1,350 m / 4,430 feet and transfer to hotel.

On arrival in Kathmandu from respective country at the Nepal International Airport. Trekking Planner staff, guide receives you for short drive to the hotels at Thamel, in the heart of Kathmandu city. An exciting location, one can find all needful items with fancy shops and well stocked stores. Having world class restaurants and hotels.

On reaching at the hotel, check into your rooms after a refreshing rest join with other members of the group. The briefing is held at meeting place in the hotel lobby or in a conference room. The guide and leader will provides with full information of the treks, tours with other necessary details. Making your stay in Nepal enjoyable and more interesting. Evening a group welcome dinner in an authentic Nepalese restaurant in the harmony of local folk cultural program.

Day 2

Morning sightseeing tour and fly to Pokhara 820 m / 2,690 feet.

Enjoy second day in Kathmandu, morning a sightseeing tour around places of great historical, and religious interest. An introduction to Nepalese cultures of both Hindu and Buddhism. Visiting various exciting areas, most places are listed in world heritage, tour includes famous old Durbar Square and palace courtyard. From here a short drive to Swayambhunath Stupa, the oldest monuments of more than 2,600 years old history. Includes tour of Bouddhanath a large dome stupa, allows you to get taste of Tibetan and Buddhism culture. As well visit of holy Pashupatinath Hindu temple.

After a wonderful tour back to hotel for refreshing break, then depart from the hotel to Kathmandu domestic airport. On reaching the airport terminal check in for exciting short flight to Pokhara, during air enjoy spectacular mountain panorama. As plane lands at Pokhara airport after a short flight of 30 minutes, then transfer to a nice hotel. Located nearby beautiful Phewa Lake side, afternoon browse the streets around the lake side. An interesting and lively place with many shops and world class restaurants.

Day 3

Drive to Nayapul, trek Jhinu village with hot spring 1,700 m -06 hrs.

Having breakfast facing views of Annapurna Himalayas, depart from the hotel for few hour drive. Heading beyond Pokhara valley to Nayapul town and at lovely Bhirethati village. From here walk starts heading past farm village facing views of cascading waterfalls, then trail follows the Modi River upstream.

Walk through several farm villages then reaching a newly built long bridge, a short climb over the bridge. As walk ends for the day at Jhinu village, located atop a high ridge, with many nice lodges. After checking into a lovely simple and neat rooms, walk down for less than 40 minutes reaching the hot spring.

Enjoy refreshing bath and a dip in a warm pool, having relaxing time and then up to the lodge.

Day 4

Trek to Chuley village 2,230 m / 7, 316 feet- 05 hrs.

After a pleasant and refreshing overnight at Jhinu village, a slow climb on a stone steps reaching the mid-point. The east trail leading to Chomrong village on the way to Annapurna Sanctuary and base camp. Our route heads west, walk on pleasant path for few hours with short climb to Chuley village for overnight.

Here the lodge is quite simple, as few trekkers seldom use this trail, but an interesting small Gurung farm village. Enjoy the overnight and explore the surrounding areas, facing views of hills and beautiful valley of Kimrong Khola / stream.

Day 5

Trek to Ghandruk village 1,990 m / 6,529 feet- 05 hrs.

From Chuley village walk on gradual trail, and down to Kimrong River valley, after crossing a small wooden bridge. The trail follows to a steep uphill into dense forest of rhododendron and pine trees. After an hour of steady climb reaching on top of ridge at Kimrong Danda, a small settlement with few tea-shops.

Having rest for a while, walk down on a pleasant winding path as trek continues to a descent. Then end the day on reaching Ghandruk village for overnight stop.

Ghandruk, a large Gurung village and the gateway to various adventure around Annapurna region. At Ghandruk explore the village and interact with the local and observe the typical farm life and culture. Visit the small museum with good information of the Annapurna region and of Gurung tradition heritage.

Day 6

Trek to Kimche and drive to Pokhara 820 m / 2,690 feet - 04 hrs.

Last day walk of the lovely short trek, at Ghandruk enjoy breakfast facing views of Annapurna peaks. Morning walk leads down to Kimche surrounded by terraced farm fields, from here drive back to Pokhara for last overnight. After an enjoyable time on Hot Spring Trekking around Annapurna Himalaya.

Day 7

Fly to Katmandu and transfer to hotel.

As per time for flight to Kathmandu either in morning or afternoon, depart from the hotel in Pokhara. A short drive to Pokhara airport for half hour scenic flight to Kathmandu. On arrival at Kathmandu domestic airport transfer back to your hotel, rest of the day at leisure for individual activities.

Day 8

Depart Kathmandu for international departure.

After a great experience around high green hills of Annapurna Himalaya, with exciting experience on Hot Spring Trekking Around Annapurna Himalayas.

Leaving the hotel for final departure homeward bound or to respective destinations.

The trek is for 3 overnight stops and 4 days walks with short drive both ways to start the trek. As well at the end of trekking, a moderate grade walks, with some steep climb for an hour or less. The trek is much pleasant with some ups and more downhill on this scenic and cultural walks.
