Itineraries

First Day

Day 1:Trek to Phakding from Lukla

• Accommodation: Tea House
• Trek Hours: 3-4 hours
• Altitude: 2610 m

A warm welcome awaits you at Lukla. The trekking expedition begins on the trial besides Dudh Koshi River. The trail follows mid-hill forest. After 3 and a half hours of walk, you will arrive at Phakding. The trek is relatively short the first day of celebrated Everest Base Camp Trekking.

Second Day

Day 2:Phakding to Namche Bazaar

• Accommodation: Tea House
• Trek Hours: 6-7 hours
• Altitude: 3440 m
The trek ascends upon the Dudh Kosi valley. You will pass through many suspension bridges. You will continue your trek until you arrive at Monjo. 2 hours of a pleasant walk will lead you to Monjo entrance to Sagarmatha National Park. Your TIMS card and National Park Permit will go through authorization at the Entrance. You will have lunch Jorsale. After 3 hours of trek, you will arrive at the most popular stopover during the treks in Everest Region. Namche Bazar rewards you with the first view of Everest.

Third Day

Day 3:Acclimatization Day at Namche Bazaar

• Accommodation: Tea House
• Altitude: 3440 m
After you ascend to such elevation gradually through your trek. Your body needs to rest and acclimatize. You will have your first acclimatization day of the Everest Base Camp Trek. The air gets thinner, as the gain in altitude is gradual. Trek will commence slowly and steadily. You will have enough so that we get enough time to acclimatize on the route to Everest Base Camp (5364m/17598ft).

Fourth Day

Day 4:Namche to Tengboche

• Accommodation: Tea House
• Trek Hours: 5-6 hours
• Altitude: 3860 m
Today, you will hike to Tengboche from Namche. You will start your hike through the ridges by the hillside. You will have spectacular views of Mt. Thamserku 6,608 m (21,680 ft), Ama Dablam 6,812 meters (22,349 ft) and Mt. Kusum Kangaru 6,367 m (20,889 ft). The trek is straight through the hillside for over an hour. You will descend to the river valley gradually and have your lunch. Later on, you will ascend through the subtropical forest and to Tengboche. Tengboche provides a dramatic view of Mt. Ama Dablam(6,812 m22,349 ft) as well as the other great mountains that surround the beautiful Tengboche Monastery.

Fifth Day

Day 5:Tengboche to Dingboche

• Accommodation: Tea House
• Trek Hours: 5-6 hours
• Altitude: 4410 m
The morning view of Mt. Ama Dablam(6,812 m22,349 ft) is even more spectacular. You will enjoy your breakfast with a delicious view. You will resume your trek with a short descent. You will walk past sublime treeline spread across deserted hills. After 30 mins of a hike, rocky stern trails will fill up your shoes. You will cross Sherpa villages like Shomare and Pangboche. You will finally reach Dingboche for an overnight stay after walking for 5-6 hours.

Sixth Day

Day 6:Acclimatization Day at Dingboche

• Accommodation: Tea House
• Altitude: 4410 m
Now that you have ascended to the altitude above 4400m/14435ft, you will rest for the day. This is due to the fact that such a high altitude demands that you spend a day acclimatizing to the low air at such an altitude. Besides, this is also an exciting way to charge up your body after somebody aches you might have with trekking for the past days. Passing the day will be easier for you as the astonishing view from Dingboche will leave you breathless. Hence, you will have one more acclimatization day.

Seventh Day

Day 7:Dingboche to Lobuche

• Accommodation: Tea House
• Trek Hours: 4-5 hours
• Altitude: 4910 m
Today, you will go to the Everest Base camp. Doing so, you will get to an altitude of close to 5000m/16, 404ft. You will have an amazing 2 and a half hour hike uphill. You will reach Dughla at this point for your lunch. The trail will be demanding from here. Your strenuous walk will take you to a higher altitude. You will ascend slowly and steadily. You will arrive in the region of Khumbu. Walking further through the rocky terrains will lead you to Lobuche(4910 meters).

Eighth Day

Day 8:Lobuche to Gorak Shep and Everest Base Camp and Back to Gorak Shep

• Accommodation: Tea House
• Trek Hours: 7-8 hours
• Altitude: 5140 m
You will hike alongside the Khumbu glacier to Everest Base camp. The walk is approximately 2 and a half hours long. The hike is slow paced and easy this day. You will explore glacial areas in Everest Base Camp. You will enjoy the Great Himalayas during today’s trek. After the exploration of Everest Base Camp, you will return back to Gorak Shep for lunch.

Ninth Day

Day 9:Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5550 m) descent back to Pheriche

• Accommodation: Tea House
• Trek Hours: 5-6 hours
• Altitude: 4210 m
You will start your trek on black rock hills shortly after breakfast. Kalapathar lies just above Gorakshep. The trail is a straight uphill climb for almost 2 hours. The hike could be difficult for most. It gets really windy around this part of the region. Prepare yourself with warm clothes. The summit of Kalapatthar rewards you the splendid views of Mt. Everest (8848m /29000 ft). The unobstructed Mt. Pumori is a blessing and looks great at close up.

Tenth Day

Day 10:Pheriche to Namche

• Accommodation: Tea House
• Trek Hours: 7-8 hours
• Altitude: 3440 m
You will retrace your hike back to Namche. You will begin your trek down to Orsho and continue the trail further on to Pangboche. You come across smaller bridges and jungles. You will descend to Tengboche. A steep walk down will lead you to Phungi Tenga. The trail will lead to a high ridge above the Dudh Koshi River. You will continue your trek over many turning. You will finally arrive at Namche for an overnight stay.

Eleventh Day

Day 11:Namche to Lukla

• Accommodation: Tea House
• Trek Hours: 5-6 hours
• Altitude: 2860 m
The trek back to Lukla (2840m/9200 ft) from Namche will take about six and a half hours. Your trek will continue to descend and gradually ascend this day. After your arrival at Lukla, Your Everest Base Camp Trek will officially end. You will stay at Lukla for the night.

No, the ATM services are not available in the Everest region. You should carry cash along with you while trekking. It is better to carry Nepali currency as it is the only currency accepted in most of the places.

Minor injuries and problems are handled on the spot by our guides and team members as they are well experienced and trained to deal with such things. In case of emergencies, helicopter evacuations are available. However, you need to make sure your insurance covers such expenses.
