Khopra Danda trek is a relatively new trekking destination and is less crowded than other popular trekking routes. Even trekking in peak seasons of autumn and spring, you will find these trails less crowded than another popular trek like Annapurna Base Camp trek.

The lake city of Pokhara is an amazing place to spend your evenings strolling along the Phewa and Begnas lake, going for boating, visiting temples, caves, etc. Similar to Kathmandu, it has various places you can go and try different foods and enjoy your free time, but it is much more peaceful. Sarangkot is a viewpoint a few hours away from Pokhara, popular for amazing sights of sunrises and sunsets.

Beautiful landscapes are what makes each step of this trek a destination on its own. Lush rhododendron forests with habitats like deer, blue sheep, monal, Himalayan Thar, Lophophorus, etc. can be found mostly during this trek. Either you get to see any of these animals or not depends upon the mere chance. Different species of birds are also found in this area and their soothing chirps energize you.

One of the main highlights of this trek is to get an outlook on the lifestyle of people living in the villages. One of the ethnic groups living predominantly in the village like Ghandruk and Ghorepani are Gurungs. Other ethnic groups like Brahmins, Chhetris and Magars. They have different traditions and ways but live in harmony with each other. Hinduism and Buddhism are majorly followed by these people.
