Day 01 :

Kathmandu to Dhunche

Altitude: 1,960 meters

Duration: 6-7 hours drive

Overview: The adventure begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche, the administrative center of Rasuwa District. The drive passes through picturesque hills, terraced farmlands, and local villages. As you head north, you’ll catch glimpses of the Himalayan ranges, and the cooler mountain air will start to kick in. Dhunche is a charming village where you’ll spend the night and prepare for the trekking days ahead.

Day 02 :

Dhunche to Syabru Besi

Altitude: 2,580 meters

Duration: 5 hours walk

Overview: The trek officially begins today, taking you from Dhunche to Syabru Besi, a traditional Tamang village. The trail offers spectacular views of the Langtang and Ganesh Himal ranges, as well as terraced farmlands and dense forests. The trail gradually ascends through rhododendron and oak forests before reaching Syabru Besi, a culturally rich village known for its Tamang heritage and traditional houses.

Day 03 :

Syabru Besi to Lama Hotel

Altitude: 2,380 meters

Duration: 6-7 hours walk

Overview: The trail descends steeply through lush forests of pine, oak, and bamboo towards the Langtang Khola (river). After crossing the river via a suspension bridge, the trail climbs gently towards Lama Hotel, a small settlement surrounded by forests. This portion of the trek offers a serene atmosphere as you walk alongside the rushing Langtang River and pass by waterfalls. Keep an eye out for wildlife such as red pandas and monkeys in the forests.

Day 04 :

Lama Hotel to Langtang Village

Altitude: 3,430 meters

Duration: 7 hours walk

Overview: Today’s trek takes you deeper into the Langtang Valley, following the Langtang Khola upstream. The trail ascends gradually through a forested path before opening up into the wider Langtang Valley. Along the way, you’ll pass small villages and prayer wheels, with beautiful views of the snow-capped peaks, including Langtang Lirung. As you approach Langtang Village, the landscape becomes more alpine with fewer trees and more rocky terrain. Langtang Village is one of the major settlements in the valley and offers insights into the local culture.

Day 05 :

Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa

Altitude: 3,870 meters

Duration: 3-4 hours walk

Overview: A shorter trekking day, today you’ll walk through the open valley with incredible views of Langtang Lirung and other peaks. The trail ascends gradually as you pass by yak pastures, small streams, and stone-built houses. After a few hours, you’ll reach Kyanjin Gompa, the last settlement in the valley and the site of an ancient monastery. This is a beautiful area with stunning views all around. In the afternoon, you can explore the area, visit the monastery, or hike up to Kyanjin Ri for panoramic views of the surrounding peaks.

Day 06 :

Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel

Altitude: 2,380 meters

Duration: 7 hours walk

Overview: After exploring Kyanjin Gompa, you’ll retrace your steps back to Lama Hotel. The descent offers a chance to enjoy the valley’s beauty from a different perspective. While descending, you can take your time and appreciate the scenery, spotting wildlife and local flora along the way. The trail follows the Langtang Khola through pine and rhododendron forests, offering a peaceful walk back to Lama Hotel.

Day 07 :

Lama Hotel to SyabruBesi

Altitude: 1,503 meters

Duration: 6-7 hours walk

Overview: Today’s trek continues downhill as you return to SyabruBesi, the starting point of your trek. The trail follows the river downstream through the forests and past small settlements. As you descend, you’ll feel the change in temperature and landscape, moving from alpine terrain back to subtropical forests. SyabruBesi is a bustling town where you can relax and prepare for the next phase of the adventure.

Day 08 :

SyabruBesi to Gatlang

Altitude: 2,340 meters

Duration: 6-7 hours walk

Overview: From SyabruBesi, the trail takes you up towards Gatlang, a beautiful Tamang village. The path winds through terraced hillsides and small hamlets, offering amazing views of the Ganesh Himal and Langtang ranges. Gatlang is known for its rich Tamang culture, traditional stone houses, and hospitality. The village offers a great opportunity to interact with locals and experience the Tamang way of life.

Day 09 :

Gatlang to Somdang

Altitude: 3,260 meters

Duration: 6 hours walk

Overview: The trail from Gatlang to Somdang takes you through forests and alpine meadows, gradually ascending towards higher elevations. You’ll pass through Khurpudanda Pass (3,750 meters), which offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. The descent from the pass leads to the small settlement of Somdang, located in a peaceful valley surrounded by mountains.

Day 10 :

Somdang to Paldor Base Camp

Altitude: 4,280 meters

Duration: 6 hours walk

Overview: From Somdang, the trail becomes more rugged as you ascend towards Paldor Base Camp. The route takes you through rocky terrain and alpine meadows, with breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks. As you approach Base Camp, the landscape becomes more barren, and the towering presence of Paldor Peak dominates the skyline. You’ll set up camp at the base of the mountain and prepare for the summit attempt.

Day 11 :

Paldor Base Camp to High Camp

Altitude: 5,300 meters

Duration: 5-6 hours walk

Overview: Today, you’ll make the steep ascent to High Camp (C1). The trail involves navigating rocky sections and glaciers, requiring careful attention and the use of climbing equipment. The higher you go, the more awe-inspiring the views become, with panoramic vistas of the Langtang and Ganesh Himal ranges. You’ll camp at High Camp, preparing for the summit push the next day.

Day 12 :

Summit of Paldor Peak and Back to High Camp

Altitude: 5,896 meters (Summit), 5,300 meters (High Camp)

Duration: Full day

Overview: This is the most challenging and rewarding day of the trek. You’ll wake up early for the final push to the Paldor Peak summit (5,896 meters). The climb involves steep sections of snow and ice, requiring technical skills and proper equipment. Upon reaching the summit, you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of the Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, and other Himalayan peaks. After spending time at the summit, you’ll descend back to High Camp for the night.

Day 13 :

High Camp to Paldor Base Camp

Altitude: 4,280 meters

Duration: 5 hours walk

Overview: After the summit, you’ll descend back to Paldor Base Camp, retracing your steps through the rocky and icy terrain. The descent offers a sense of accomplishment after the challenging climb, and the beautiful mountain scenery will accompany you all the way down. Once at Base Camp, you can rest and celebrate the successful summit of Paldor Peak.

Day 14 :

Trek from Paldor Base Camp to Somdang

Altitude: 4,305 meters

Duration: 7 hours

Overview: Retrace your steps from Paldor Base Camp to Somdang, descending through the alpine meadows and forests. After the summit, the descent will feel more comfortable but still requires careful attention due to the rugged terrain.

Day 15 :

Trek from Somdang to Narchet Kharka

Altitude: 3,800 meters

Duration: 7 hours

Overview: Today’s trail leads to Narchet Kharka, a beautiful grazing area for yaks and sheep. The route is scenic, with views of surrounding peaks and valleys. The day involves moderate ascents and descents through diverse landscapes.

Day 16 :

Trek from Narchet Kharka to Sertung

Altitude: 3,270 meters

Duration: 7 hours

Overview: A long day of trekking as you descend towards the village of Sertung, passing through forests, terraced fields, and traditional villages. Sertung is a culturally rich village with local hospitality and stunning views of the Ganesh Himal.

Day 17 :

Trek from Sertung to Jharlang

Altitude: 1,600 meters

Duration: 7 hours

Overview: The descent continues through picturesque villages and agricultural fields, eventually reaching Jharlang, a lower-altitude village surrounded by hills and terraced farmland. The landscape gradually shifts from alpine to more temperate zones.

Day 18 :

Trek from Jharlang to Darkha

Altitude: 1,557 meters

Duration: 6-7 hours

Overview: The trail from Jharlang to Darkha leads through rural villages, terraced hills, and lush green landscapes. The descent becomes steeper as you approach the lower-altitude areas, with warmer temperatures.

Day 19 :

Trek from Darkha to Khahare Bazaar

Altitude: 720 meters

Duration: 5-6 hours

Overview: You will descend further to Khahare Bazaar, a bustling market town along the banks of the Trishuli River. The environment here is more tropical, with terraced fields and traditional homes scattered along the hillside.

Day 20 :

Drive from Khahare Bazaar to Kathmandu

Altitude: 1,350 meters

Duration: 7 hours

Overview: From Khahare Bazaar, you will drive back to Kathmandu along the scenic route, passing through countryside villages, forests, and rivers. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you’ll check into your hotel for some much-needed rest and relaxation.

Day 21 :

Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for Final Departure

Altitude: 1,350 meters

Duration: 0.5 hours

Overview: After your successful trek and climb, you’ll be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport for your flight back home. This concludes your adventure in Nepal.
